"IMPECCABLE"
The film begins outside an aviation production facility as Lisa gets into a car. She's on her blue-tooth. She's wearing a white lab coat and a badge identifying her as a worker at the factory. She has black hair (a wig).
SCENE 1
INT. ADAM'S HOUSE
LIVING ROOM
Adam is a student back home for the summer from college. His friend Mark is with him.
They enter the living room and drop shopping bags on the couch.
MARK
So, where's that spliff you've been jonesing about all day?
ADAM
In my room. Shh. Someone could hear.
MARK
I thought you said your sister was off in Jersey and your parents were gone for the weekend?
ADAM
They are, but you need to practice not talking so loud in case one of them came back early.
MARK
Whatever. Since you never have and probably never will throw a party, I'm betting your parents feel they've been successfully strict with you.
SCENE 2
INT. ADAM'S BEDROOM
Adam starts rummaging in a drawer, looking for his stash. He finds it, and pulls out a nicely rolled spliff and hands it to Mike, who plops on the bed and lights it up. Adam goes to the computer and logs on to see a message, PRINT JOB COMPLETE.
ADAM
What the fuck?
Adam glances over at the 3D printer and sees an object sitting in the output box.
ADAM
What the fuck?
Mark (blows out a cloud of smoke):
What the fuck, what?
ADAM
This.
Adam holds up the object. It's a very interesting looking new valve model.
MARK
Is that the 3D printer you were telling me about? Let me see that. Cool.
Mark hands Adam the spliff. Adam sucks on it, while Mark examines the valve.
MARK
So, it just prints out objects. But it can't make a gun.
ADAM
It could make the pieces of a gun, or the design of the gun, but it won't make a working gun. You can only do so much with it. I just, if I find out who did this, I'm going to...
MARK
If you can't finish a threat, you'll never carry one through. Give me that.
Mark takes the spliff and hands over the object.
ADAM
I mean, what the fuck is it?
MARK
It's a valve. Duh.
ADAM
I know it's a valve. But why would someone print out a valve?
MARK
Why wouldn't they? Can I print out some hot chicks?
ADAM
You want to play with dolls. Go ahead. While you're at it, print yourself a dildo.
MARK
Ha ha! But I get your point.
ADAM
Dude! I didn't print a valve. Somebody else did.
MARK
Maybe it's like a test print. Or your sister did it to peeve you.
ADAM
No. And she's my Step! Sister. And she's in Jersey and doesn't know the first thing about computers. Besides, it's behind my firewall.
MARK
Does your computer keep logs of things?
ADAM
Dude! I'm a nerd of the first degree!
MARK
Yeah, well, your system got a first degree hacking.
DOORBELL SOUNDS
SCENE 3
ADAM'S LIVING ROOM
They go to the front room and open the door. Lisa stands there. She pushes her way inside and closes the door behind her.
ADAM
Intrusive much.
MARK
She can intrude all over me.
ADAM
Dude. That sounds seriously wrong.
MARK
Yeah, now I think about it.
LISA
Did you get the printout?
Mark (laughing):
Oh-hoh. Now I see. You got hacked by a girl!!!
ADAM
You sent that thing? Do you have any idea how much that cost me?
LISA
I'll pay you back. Can I have the object?
Mark wanders out of the room to get the valve.
ADAM
And just what gives you the right to hack into my system and use my stuff?
LISA I'm trying to save the world. So, don't you want to put on your super-hero costume and help me?
ADAM
What?
LISA
My brother was a nerd. Computers, comic books, video games. I know it's a package deal. So, let's get with the hero complex, so I can get the object and get back to saving the world.
Mark wanders in with the object.
MARK
So, this is going to save the world? What does it do? Is it the secret link to keeping ultra powerful space robots energized?
Lisa takes the object from him.
LISA
No. It's more important than any of that. This is what you get when one corporation wants to make another corporation look bad. They create a valve designed to clog up quickly, and then release those faulty devices into the market through cargo pirating, replacing functional parts with dysfunctional parts. Company A sends out a shipment of excellent products, but by the time it reaches its destination, those products have been replaced by these. Six months later, Company B has a substantially larger profit share as everyone shifts to a safer product.
ADAM
And you needed my printer, why?
LISA
So that I could get proof. I couldn't very well walk out of the factory with it in my hands. So, I hacked the file and sent the prototype here.
MARK
Why couldn't you just use a file?
LISA
Sometimes, it's nice to have the hard evidence in your hot little hands. So, thank you very much. If you'll excuse me, I need to get this to the FBI.
Lisa deposits the object in a small, cute, probably expensive purse and walks to the door. Just as she's about to open it, through the window, she sees the security car from the factory pull up.
LISA
Shit! I've been followed.
ADAM
Shit? What shit?
LISA
They're here. We have to go.
ADAM
Who's here?
LISA
Now. They're coming up the front. Do you have a back way out?
MARK
This way.
Mark leaps over the couch and heads through the kitchen to the back door.
Adam and Lisa follow.
SCENE 4
EXT. ADAM'S HOUSE
The men at the front door hear the backdoor slam and circle into the yard to go behind the house. Adam, Lisa and Mark run out into the alley behind the backyard and head down the alley towards the water. One of the houses has a brick wall around it.
Mark crouches behind the brick wall and waits until the three guards come down the alley. He kicks Bob in the throat and does a pretty good job of kicking Bob's ass while Alan chases Adam.
Jake pulls a gun and shoots Mark in the head just as the Alan launches himself and knocks Adam to the ground.
Everything slows down.
Adam's head hits the pavement, and we can see from that perspective that Adam can see the bullet passing through Mark's head. The blood spurts out. The thick sound of a gunshot and the reverberation of his head against the ground should play out as a pivotal moment when the world shifts for everyone at the scene.
P.O.V.
Adam is encountering his friend Mark being killed before his eyes.
P.O.V.
Lisa is realizing that she's really stepped into a new world.
P.O.V.
Jake has just shot someone.
P.O.V.
Bob feels like Jake just saved his life.
P.O.V.
Alan is busy wrestling Adam to subservience.
The sound of the bullet should be followed by that high-pitched ringing of the ears sound that also comes with hitting your head.
P.O.V.
Adam's vision should blur and double as he tries to focus on the dead open eyes staring back at him. This is a moment where eyes must be the windows to the actor's souls and the director should take care to show the concert of concurrent emotions in this world changing moment.
Above Adam's shocked and staring face, is Alan, holding Adam down. Adam does not seem to even recognize Alan's presence, so in shock is he at seeing Mark get shot. Alan is feeling triumphant, since he feels like he is on the winning team. He punches Adam and pulls back to him again, but gets clocked by Lisa's foot.
Lisa also whips a knife at Jake and takes him in the wrist, literally knocking the gun a distance from his hand. Bob staggers over to her, and she delivers some body dropping attacks to him before Jake attacks her and choke-holds her.
JAKE
Alright. That's enough, little lady. You've had your fun. Now, give me the device.
She holds out her purse. He wrenches it from her hand.
Adam hits him from behind with a rock and takes the purse as Jake crumples.
LISA
You killed him.
Lisa grabs Adam by the arm and starts running as she pulls on him.
LISA
Run!
Adam and Lisa run down the street and hear the security team coming after them. They hide in the water, near the docks. Adam is holding Lisa's purse.
SCENE 5
EXT. DOCKS
IN THE WATER
LISA
Let me have that.
ADAM
No. Not until you tell me what's going on.
LISA
I already told you. Corporate espionage. They're the bad guys.
ADAM
They killed Mark.
LISA
I know. I told you. These are dangerous people. Now, give me the bag.
ADAM
And you work for them?
LISA
Worked. I'm sure I've been fired.
ADAM
And this? Where are you taking it.
LISA
My father's in the FBI. I just need to get to that bar at the end of the docks and I can make a phone call.
Adam pulls his cell out of his pocket. It's soaked wet.
ADAM
Fuck.
LISA
We're floating in water. I don't think it works anymore.
She starts edging along the dock wall towards the bar. Adam follows, still holding the purse.
ADAM
Are you always such a bitch?
LISA
Only when I've spent my night getting shot at and dealing with obnoxious whiners like you.
ADAM
Obnoxious? I'm not the one who burst into my life uninvited, ruined my world, got my friend shot!
LISA
Will you lower your voice?! Are you trying to get us killed?
ADAM
Fuck you!
LISA
And the horse I rode in on. I know. Give me the purse now or I'm going to kick your ass, because I am not spending the rest of my night with you.
ADAM
You got me in this. You're getting me out.
LISA
Yeah!
POLICE AND AMBULANCE SIRENS. Police cars race down the street and stop where Mark was shot.
Lisa and Adam duck low in the water.
LISA
Look. Against the wall. It's the fat one. He's trying to avoid notice. We can't let him see us.
ADAM
I can run to the cops.
LISA
And tell them what? "Oh, I killed that one with a rock." Let's just get to that bar and call my father. He'll be able to sort all this out.
ADAM
I hate you.
LISA
And I can't wait for the divorce.
ADAM
We're not married.
LISA
Got that right.
They continue making their way to the dock.
SCENE 6
They haul themselves out of the water when they think they're close enough to the dock bar.
LISA
We're conspicuous when wet. Let's just go to the restrooms and get cleaned up.
As they're about to enter the bar, the HEAD OF SECURITY slams Adam against the wall.
HEAD OF SECURITY
There you are. We've been looking for you everywhere.
Lisa jams a knife into his ribs and time stands still as she grabs him by the hair and slits his throat, covering Adam in blood. She pushes HEAD OF SECURITY to the ground, grabs a stunned Adam by his dry sleeve, and drags him into the bar. She doesn't have a drop of blood on her, although she's still wet.
LISA
I'll call my father. Go in the bathroom and get cleaned up.
SCENE 7
INT. DOCK BAR
BATHROOM
Adam goes into the Men's room and looks at himself in the mirror. He's a disaster of blood and bruises.
He starts washing his face. He remembers his friend doing funny stuff. And the actor should have a chance to improvise, there in the mirror at the aftermath of this night, no idea what might come next.
SCENE 8
INT. DOCK BAR
MAIN ROOM
Adam comes out of the bathroom.
Lisa is wearing a police uniform. The black hair wig she was wearing has been removed. She's talking to a blonde cop, Ellen, another beautiful woman who is holding the object. Ellen looks at him.
ELLEN
Wow. He's a mess.
LISA
He should be after killing all those people.
ADAM
What? I didn't... I only...
LISA
I know. Sorry. Don't get bothered over it.
ADAM
What's going on?
Ellen circles around behind him.
LISA
I couldn't tell you that I was a cop until we were safe.
ADAM
I'm really confused.
Ellen sticks a needle in his arm.
ADAM
What the fuck?
LISA
Put simply, you've been set up to take the fall for murders related to the theft of this little device for which we're going to make millions.

ELLEN
Your timing's impeccable.
ADAM
Why would you do this to me? You don't even know me.
LISA
Because this is what happens when there isn't a hero to save you and you never took time to learn to save yourself.
End.
